STATE RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

The State Relay Championships is the largest event on the LAANSW calendar in terms of number of competitors. As the name suggests the Championships are comprised entirely of relay events. The State Relays are held on the fourth full weekend in November each year, with a Junior Day (U8 to U11) on the Saturday and a Senior Day (U12 to U17) on the Sunday. This season the Championships are being held on the weekend of November 28 & 29, 2009 at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.

  Performances in each of the field events are allocated points, based on the LAANSW Multi-Event pointscore system. The performances of all 4 athletes in each team are added together to determine final results. 

Centres must enter teams on the official entry form - no individual entries will be accepted.  The entry fee per team must accompany the entry form.  Each team consists of 4 individual members.  A competitor who competes in a track relay MAY NOT compete in a field relay.

In all Championships and Carnivals it is the athletes (parent/Guardian) responsibility to ensure :

You are in full Centre uniform with ALL numbers. Registration, Age and Centre numbers. Uniform Rules here

You arrive in plenty of time for your events. Little A's does NOT publish times for events.

You have adequate shelter, seating, clothing, sun protection, water, food etc. Most Championships are all day events (and normal have all seasons)

You are aware of the rules and protest procedure (if needed).
